Who we are
AffiliateTools.co is operated by the team behind AdRecon — an ad intelligence platform built for affiliate marketers running campaigns on Meta (Facebook, Instagram, Threads). AdRecon tracks 300,000+ ads, creatives, landing pages, and linked offers across 40+ affiliate networks, and it's the tool we run ourselves.
We built AffiliateTools.co because affiliate marketers couldn't find honest tool reviews. Every other site in this category fell into one of two buckets: pay-for-play listicles where every tool is "the best," or thinly-disguised marketing funnels with no real testing. Both failure modes produce the same useless outcome for the buyer.
Our editorial framing is simple: we're affiliate marketers first. We know the difference between a ClickBank creative and a DTC e-commerce ad. We know why days-running matters more than impressions for CPA research. And we know when a tool is genuinely useful versus when it's just marketing the category.
Why we started
In early 2026 our team was researching competitor ad intelligence tools for an internal product decision. We spent two weeks reading reviews, watching walkthroughs, and signing up for trials. The experience was frustrating:
- Most "top 10" lists ranked tools based on affiliate commissions, not product quality.
- Prices were often outdated by 6+ months.
- Platform coverage was routinely overstated. Several tools claimed "TikTok support" that turned out to be a thin API wrapper around the TikTok Creative Center — not first-party ad tracking.
- Features we needed (landing page archival, affiliate-network classification, creative grouping across advertisers) weren't discussed anywhere because most review sites don't understand affiliate marketing.
So we decided to write the site we wished existed. AffiliateTools.co ships with 7 detailed ad spy tool reviews, 21 head-to-head comparisons, and six flagship listicles, with more on the way. Every review admits where a competitor wins before we pitch our own tool. Every price is dated. Every marketing claim is attributed.
Our conflict of interest
AdRecon is a competitor to most of the tools we review on this site. We take this conflict seriously and compensate for it in three ways:
- Structural honesty. Every review and versus page states the competitor's strengths before AdRecon's. Every versus comparison table forces at least two rows where the competitor beats AdRecon. If you read the site and come away thinking "AdRecon is perfect, everyone else is garbage," we've failed — and we want to know.
- Open methodology. Our methodology page documents the eight dimensions we score each tool on, how we weight those dimensions for different listicle intents, and how we verify competitor pricing. You can audit our work.
- Honest scope disclosure. AdRecon covers Meta (Facebook, Instagram, Threads) only. AdRecon has no TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Google, or Pinterest coverage. AdRecon uses regex-based classification, not AI or LLMs. AdRecon starts at a premium price point ($299 one-time as of April 2026). We state these limitations on every review and versus page. If a competitor wins for a use case AdRecon doesn't fit (TikTok-first marketing, dropshipping, brand advertising), we say so.
We will never rank AdRecon #1 on a listicle where an honest answer is something else. The TikTok ad spy tools listicle recommends PiPiADS. The dropshipping listicle recommends Minea. The free-tier listicle recommends BigSpy. AdRecon wins where AdRecon wins — Meta-based affiliate research with offer + creative + landing-page intelligence — and nowhere else.

Editorial policies
- Affiliate links. For v1, this site contains zero affiliate links. The only CTAs on this site link to AdRecon (our own product). If we add affiliate links to competitor tools in the future, we will disclose them with
rel="sponsored"and a visible label. - Paid placements. We do not accept paid rankings or sponsored "best of" placements. Tools are not removable from listicles in exchange for payment.
- Corrections. Email hello@affiliatetools.co with corrections. We publish corrections openly — no silent edits.
- Fact verification. Pricing is verified quarterly. Feature claims are verified annually. Every page shows the "Updated" date in the hero.
- Competitor claims. Marketing claims made by competitors (e.g., "200M+ ads indexed") are cited as claims, never stated as facts.
